Warning for millions as deadly tornado with 'ping pong size' hail strikes Florida


A tornado warning has been issued in West central Bay County, Florida, as residents are advised to: “Take cover now!”

The National Weather Service has warned of “ping pong ball size” hail strikes on Thursday. 

In an emergency warning letter issued at noon Thursday, the organisation said: “Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter.”

They also warned that mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.

“Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely,” the weather service said.
