Vladimir Putin's forces 'running out of body bags' as volunteer begs for food and clothes

A volunteer working for Vladimir Putin’s forces in Ukraine has taken to social media to beg for body bags which she says the military is running out of.

Speaking in Russian, she said: “If anyone could help purchase bags for corpses, they are really badly needed right now. I’ve no f*****g idea where to get them.”

The video, posted to X by War Translated which translates information about the war to English, shows the female volunteer requesting other supplies.

She said: “Also if anyone could help with clothes and food. Food should only be in closed packages just in case no one could add or spoil it in some way, you know what I mean.”

She also mentioned the high number of wounded soldiers in Donetsk’s hospitals following a massive Russian assault that has seen high casualties with little gain.

She said: “Let’s help, let’s provide strong assistance now to the guys in hospitals, there’s loads of them, really loads, and they really need the help right now.”

The focus of the Russian assault that began last week is the area surrounding the city of Andriivka, around 56 miles south of Bakhmut.

Putin’s forces have heavily shelled the village and surrounding areas and launched numerous attacks.

Unverified footage on social media has shown fierce fighting and numerous destroyed Russian vehicles.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed Russia had lost “hundreds” of armoured vehicles in the attack.

Despite the massive attacks, the Institute for the Study of War reported last week that Moscow did not make any “claimed or confirmed” gains around Andriivka or nearby Klishchiivka.

When Ukraine captured the area last month it reportedly wiped out three of Putin’s best brigades.

The 72nd Motor Rifle Brigade as well as the elite 31st and 83rd Air Assault Brigades were “defeated and completely disabled” in that battle, according to a Ukrainian General.
