Vladimir Putin's changing appearance sparks new plastic surgery and body double claims

A plastic surgeon has called Vladimir Putin’s appearance ‘ridiculous’ at the weekend when he addressed Russian people over the mutiny of mercenary outfit the Wagner Group.

The Russian leader was defiant and warned “any blackmail is doomed to failure”, but many viewers noticed the 70-year-old’s forehead looked much smoother usual, reports The Daily Express US.

Australian Dr Jake Sloane, an aesthetic doctor, claimed Putin has had, in his professional opinion, “too much filler” and looked “like an elderly Cushingoid cat.”

Dr Sloane said: “This is an isolated lapse of ethics where I will publicly ridicule someone for how ridiculous they look after injectables.”

But some noticed the Russian president looked different from usual.

Other aesthetic professionals with a keen eye think the same as Dr Sloane, with leading UK cosmetic surgeon Gerard Lambe having told The Sun he believes Putin has opted for cheek fillers.

He said: “In images from about seven years ago he certainly looks much more gaunt and craggy but some work has been done to create a youthful, fuller contour with fillers.”

He also said he believes Putin has had a chin lift and an upper eye lift.

Elsewhere, Ukraine’s intelligence chief Major General Kyrylo Budanov has speculated Putin has three body doubles who have all undergone surgery to look like him.
