Video of Princess Kate and Prince William goes viral for showing their key difference

Prince William and Princess Kate are both working royals but handle themselves in different ways when at engagements. A TikTok video has gone viral, garnering 350,000 views and 31.2K likes, that shows the hilarious way in which each royal conducts themselves.

A TikToker has mashed up two royal engagements illustrating their demeanors and how they differ. In the first clip, filmed in 2021, we see Kate and William visit a college in Northern Ireland. It’s there that they engage with a representative from a petting zoo. The handler shows Kate a snake, with her asking him: “Please can I hold the tarantula?” The handler is surprised, but William not so much, encouraging his wife, saying: “Go on, then.”

The second clip shows the royal couple visiting the Bahamas in 2022, celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The couple attended a fish fry where Kate offered to try the local delicacy, conch, a type of sea snail. In the clip, she holds the raw snack up above her head, dangles it, and swallows it.

Kate then announces to the handler: “I’m a little more adventurous than William.”

And, just this morning, there’s another TikTok video making the rounds, where Kate can’t keep a straight face. It appears William and Kate are posing for a photo, both wearing sweatbands with William saying: “This is serious, this is serious,” and from there, Kate goes from laughing to a huge smile.

The photo shoot was part of the Royal Foundation initiative Heads Together, which helpls people talk about mental health. The campaign was spearheaded in 2016 by William and Kate with the help of Prince Harry.

In the short film, Harry asks: “Why heads together? And why mental health?”

Kate steps up, fielding the question: “Because it’s a common thread, wasn’t it? Mental health seemed to run between all the different areas we were working in. So whether it’s homelessness, military for yourself (Harry), and addiction with me (working on it) and bereavement, there was this sort of underlying thread of mental health, and this idea of us coming together to final a common theme. And to show people, how to have, what we’re calling, those simple conversations.”
