Urgent 48-hour Russia 'terror attack' warning as Brits told 'get out now'

Brits have been hit by an urgent 48-hour warning as “extremists” have imminent plans to attack the Russian city of Moscow. Tourists have been told to “get out” immediately and avoid large gatherings and crowds.

The alerts cover a 48-hour period over International Women’s Day – a major holiday in Russia. There are concerns from authorities about several concerts due to go ahead linked to the March 8 celebration.

It was not clear which ‘extremists’ were believed to be plotting an outrage, but people have been told to avoid crowds, monitor the local media for updates, and be aware of surroundings.

The Foreign Office is currently warning Britons to be aware of several security risks ‘such as drone attacks’, advising them to “consider leaving” the country.
