Ukraine's plan to attack Russian forces 'leaked to Kremlin', Zelensky claims

Zelensky added: “We have a plan, a clear plan. Several plans will be prepared because of information leaks.”

Ukraine has faced a difficult period on the frontlines in recent months.

Russian forces recently took control of the important eastern town of Avdiivka after months of fighting.

US aid for Ukraine has also been held up by Republican lawmakers in Washington as they look for concessions on immigration from the Biden administration.

Despite this, Zelensky remained defiant last week as he addressed world leaders in Kyiv.

He said Ukraine would win the war, adding: “We have been fighting for this for 730 days of our lives.

“We will win on the greatest day of our lives. Next to the word Ukraine, the word independent will always stand. We have become 730 days closer to victory.

“You can burn the plane, but you cannot destroy our dream. The dream with which each one of us has been falling asleep and waking up for 730 days.”

On Monday, 20 European leaders are set to gather in Paris as a show of unity to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

French President Emmanuel Macron has invited his European allies to the capital to discuss the escalating tension between Russia and the West.

An adviser of Macron’s told reporters: “We want to send Putin a very clear message, that he won’t win in Ukraine. Our goal is to crush this idea he wants us to believe that he would be somehow winning.”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Foreign Minister David Cameron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, as well as leaders from Scandinavian and Baltic countries, are scheduled to attend the conference.
