UK cold weather: Exact date temperatures plummet to -14C 'colder than Iceland'


New weather maps have revealed that temperatures in the UK will plummet to a bone-chilling -14C in a matter of days – as Britain is set to experience temperatures ‘colder than Iceland’.

The latest data from WX Charts, produced using data from the Metdesk, show that the mercury will dip as low as -14C as far south as Birmingham next Friday, January 19 at around midnight.

On the same day, temperatures in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik will be much warmer at -3C, while the Scandinavian capital city of Stockholm will only reach -10C. Meanwhile temperatures in the Norwegian capital of Oslo will match Britain at -14C.
