Two young women who were killed in a shooting in the West Bank today were British nationals who were sisters, it has emerged. A British official confirmed to Sky News they were part of a family who had moved there in 2005.
The women are reportedly sisters aged 15 and in their early 20s. They have not been identified.
Their mother was also seriously injured when their car came under attack today in the Hamra settlement, about 30 miles north of Jerusalem.
Sky News reported that the family were believed to have moved to Israel in 2005.
The attack happened after Israeli airstrikes hit Lebanon and Gaza in response to rocket attacks which Israel blamed on Hamas militants.
Tensions mounted this week after police raids on the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
