TV presenter arrested after 'sending ex-boyfriend nasty texts while on air'

A popular TV presenter in Nashville, Tennessee has been arrested after she allegedly sent her ex-boyfriend threatening text messages while she was on the air.

Scoop Nashville is reporting that 21-year-old Alana McLaughlin, who was the host of her own talk show on the local Fox network in the area, was arrested and charged with harassment.

She was booked into the Nashville county jail on October 6. It’s not clear whether she’s yet been released.

In addition to the threatening text messages sent to her ex-boyfriend, Johnathon Davis, McLaughlin also allegedly sent disparaging messages about her ex’s disabled child.

She would allegedly send Davis $1 through Cashapp with messages saying “f*** you, yo people and f*** THAT BABY TOO” and “you cryin’ yet, b****?”

In another message, she wrote, “put all this energy into a career you f***ing bum, lol. You 30 with no custody, no car, no hairline you just a waste of space.”

Davis and McLoughlin reportedly broke up on September 11, though it’s unclear how long they’d been dating prior to their breakup.

Davis reportedly blocked McLoughlin’s number, and claimed that she began contacting her through other means, such as social media and CashApp.

However, Davis didn’t file for an arrest warrant until McLoughlin allegedly sent a message wishing death on him and his son.

It’s unclear whether Davis has a restraining order against the TV presenter.

So far, it doesn’t look as though her show has been pulled from the air, as an episode of “Perspectives with Alana McLoughlin” aired on Saturday (October 14).
