Tucker Carlson slams Zelensky for dressing like a 'strip club manager demanding money'

Tucker Carlson slammed Ukraine’s President Zelensky, suggesting he had dressed like the “manager of a strip club demanding money” when he visited the White House yesterday. The war-time President is known for his rugged appearance and, since Vladimir Putin launched an invasion of Ukraine in February, has often been seen wearing combat attire.

However, that did not stop the Fox News pundit from criticising the Ukrainian leader, who was in the US to drum up support for Kyiv’s war effort.

Carlson said: “The President of Ukraine arrived at the White House dressed like the manager of a strip club and demanding money and amazingly no one threw him out.

“Instead they did whatever he wanted and American taxpayers declared that Joe Biden will continue to give Zelensky whatever he demands for ‘As long as it takes’.”

Carlson bashed Biden for refusing to “specify” the details of what winning conditions would look like for the administration.

“Biden never specified, what ‘it’ is, and ‘as long as it takes’ to do, what?” Carlson said.

He added: “Push the Russian Army back to pre-invasion borders? That sounds reasonable, that’s what most Americans likely assume, those still paying attention.”

However, Carlson maintained that important issues were glossed over in the high level talks.

“But that is not what Zelensky means, it is not what he is asking for, Zelensky is demanding regime change in Russia,” he said.

“What happens if he wins? What does the ensuing chaos look like? Who secures the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons? Strangely those questions didn’t come up today.

“The point was to fawn over the Ukrainian strip club manager and hand him billions more dollars from our own crumbling economy.”

Zelensky was in the US to meet with Joe Biden and address Congress, it is his first visit overseas since Russian forces poured over Ukraine’s borders in February.

During a joint press conference, Zelensky asked President Biden for more Patriot defence systems to shoot down Russian missiles raining down on the country’s infrastructure.

“What is going to happen after the Patriots are installed? After that, we will send another signal to President Biden that we would like to get more Patriots,” Zelensky said to laughter from the audience.

Joe Biden told the audience “we’re working on it” and the seriousness of the meeting was highlighted when he added: “You’ll never stand alone.”

He also announced that the US would indeed be providing Ukraine with Patriot missiles, a move which infuriated Moscow.

The full scale war in Ukraine is approaching its tenth month and both sides have suffered heavy casualties. A top US General estimated more than 100,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded during the invasion.

After Russia was pushed back on several fronts, Moscow took to shelling Ukrainian cities and knocking out civilian infrastructure, including water and electricity.

Kyiv has blasted the tactic as a way to freeze the Ukrainian public into submission, however with Ukraine appearing to have the upper hand on many fronts, it doesn’t appear to be working.
