Karen McDougal claims to have had a 10-month-long affair with Donald Trump in 2006, a claim he has always denied. She is thought to have been the “Woman 1” named in background documents in the 45th president’s court case concerning hush money payments paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
McDougal, a former Playmate, has kept out of the ex-president’s unfolding legal drama but took to her social media yesterday to break her silence with a cheeky picture and comment.
The 52-year-old was chilling at the ski resort in Vail, Colorado, while Donald returned to his Florida resort after his arrest.
She smiled in the picture she posted, making a peace sign with her hand. McDougal captioned the image: “I’ve been out and about enjoying God’s country… I hope I didn’t miss anything.”
The tongue-in-cheek remark made to her 35,000 followers on the social media app was “liked” by over 1,500 of her fans. One commented: “Well, Don’t Watch The NEWS.”

McDougal posted stunning snaps of the slopes from her ski holiday and seemed unphased by the goings on in New York courtrooms and Flordia estates.
So, who is Karen McDougal and how is she involved in Trump’s current legal woes?
McDougal is best known for her work for Playboy, being voted runner-up for “The Sexiest Playmate of the 1990s” by Playboy’s readers.
She claims she met Trump at the Playboy Mansion in LA in 2006, and that he immediately took a liking to (her), kept talking to (her) – telling (her) how beautiful (she) was, etc”.
She also claims she was tricked into silence by the National Enquirer. when the paper offered her a deal worth $150,000 (£106,000) to tell her story exclusively ahead of the elections. However, the piece was never published.
This, the FEC found, is a “catch and kill” tactic, which prosecutors allege that Trump used to keep sex scandals quiet ahead of the 2016 election.
While McDougal enjoyed skiing, Trump made a furious speech at his Mar-a-Lago home blasting his arrest, claiming it was politically motivated. Melania Trump was notably absent from the room while her husband, who has been accused of infidelity by two women, failed to acknowledge her in his speech while taking the time to thank all his children.
