Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd make agreement, Liverpool bid, Arsenal eye new £26m striker

Tottenham have stolen a march on their rivals in the January transfer market after agreeing deals to bring in Radu Dragusin and ex-Chelsea ace Timo Werner. But the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal may complete their own transfer business before the end of the month to ensure their squads are ready to compete for silverware during the second half of the campaign.

United have reportedly agreed to allow Alvaro Fernandez to join Benfica on an initial loan deal, while Liverpool have made an offer for Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz. And Arsenal are said to be eyeing up Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

Chelsea have spent mega-money since Todd Boehly bought the club and are starting to show progress on the pitch after climbing up to eighth in the Premier League table on Saturday following their 1-0 win over Fulham. But the Blues could be forced to offload some stars and claw back some money this month to ensure they don’t fall foul of Financial Fair Play rules.
