Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd deal on, Chelsea and Arsenal target makes mind up, Spurs talks

Premier League clubs could be planning last-ditch attempts to bolster their squads over the next few days before the January transfer window slams shut on Thursday. It’s been a relatively quiet window across the board and the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are yet to make any signings.

Tottenham have perhaps been the busiest during the current transfer window as they have snapped up former Chelsea star Timo Werner on an initial loan deal from RB Leipzig, while Radu Dragusin has been brought in on a permanent deal from Genoa.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have signed 18-year-old attacking midfielder Alex Alcala from LA Galaxy, while allowing out-of-favour England international Kalvin Phillips to join West Ham on loan ahead of this summer’s Euro 2024.

Elsewhere, Chelsea have snapped up 18-year-old striker Dujuan Richards from Phoenix Academy. And the top clubs will still be keeping their eyes open for potential deals if the numbers add up.
