Tottenham remain in the hunt to sign Swedish wonderkid Lucas Bergvall.
The 17-year-old looked all set to join Barcelona but the La Liga giants yesterday ruled out signings on deadline day.
It remains to be seen whether Barca’s prediction comes true, with Bergvall’s move to the Nou Camp previously at an advanced stage.
It is believed a bid of £17million could clinch the deal with Djurgardens.
Bergvall, a 2006-born midfielder, is already a senior Swedish international.
He was on trial with Manchester United as a teenager and reportedly took a tour of Spurs’ training facilities earlier this week.
