Three people stabbed in horrific attack days before Christmas


Three people have been stabbed in shocking disorder days before Christmas.

The nature and extent of the injuries to the two men and one woman in Handsworth, Birmingham, remain unclear. Police, though, confirmed they were called to a disorder in Handsworth, Birmingham, at 3.20am today.

Roads through the inner city area remain closed as officers investigate the attack. Buses have been diverted as a result.

A man has been arrested, reports Birmingham Live.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We have currently closed off an area of Soho Road, Birmingham. The road is closed between Bolton Road and Grove Road, Birmingham.

“A man has been arrested from Soho Road after two men and a woman were found with injuries, believed to be stab wounds. We were called to Soho Road at around 3.20am.

“The road will be closed this morning while officers establish the circumstances around what has happened. We’ll provide more details in due course. Commuters and transport companies are advised to make alternative arrangements to navigate Soho Road.”
