This remote island has been named the most beautiful in the world with its stunning beaches and exotic wildlife.
Fernando de Noronha is a tiny island located far from the mainland of Brazil. It forms part of a stunning archipelago made up of 21 islands.
Located in the Atlantic, 326 miles (525km) from Recife and 217 miles (350km) from Natal, Noronha’s natural beauty holds its own against any tropical locale in the world.
It boasts breathtaking views, dramatic sea cliffs, and volcanic rock formations rising out of the turquoise-blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The archipelago of Fernando de Noronha is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a delicate ecosystem.
Wildlife viewing opportunities are endless and the area is particularly renowned for its excellent scuba diving and snorkelling.
With its crystal-clear waters, rich marine life – including the highest known concentration of resident dolphins in the world – and spectacular tropical landscapes, it’s in a class all of its own.
The country’s ‘beach bible,’ Guia Quatro Rodas Praias, awards five stars to just five beaches in the whole country – and three are right on the island.
Travel experts say the island is an amazing place to visit throughout the whole year but its weather and sea conditions vary.
Locals say that Noronha has two seasons – a dry from August to February and a rainy season from March to July.
But going to Noronha is not cheap. Even in the low season, it has been named one of the most expensive destinations to visit in Brazil.
Both the number of visitors on the island and the number of residents and workers are limited and controlled in order to be a sustainable destination, that impairs as much as possible the environment.
