The key stand out sign Meghan Markle's royal days are firmly behind her

Meghan Markle has kept a fairly low profile since stepping down as a senior royal at the start of 2020, but according to one subtle sign, the former actress appears to have “never been happier”.

The one clue to how Meghan – who was recently met with a dig as being one of the year’s biggest “losers” – has been feeling as of late is subtly all down to her fashion choices

Despite her seemingly low profile, Meghan made more public appearances than ever before in 2023. The former royal has been spotted dancing the night away at various concerts and posing at various red carpet events.

Meghan has had plenty of moments to have fun and let her hair down – particularly as a busy mother-of-two. The 42-year-old’s wardrobe choices have been stand-out and seemingly proving that her royal days are long behind her.

For late night events, where glamour was key, Meghan opted for strapless, skintight dresses like the one she wore to the Ms Foundation Awards alongside Gloria Steinem. As she wowed fans on the red carpet, Meghan opted for a chic bronze-coloured Johanna Ortiz number.

In support of Prince Harry’s Invictus Games, Meghan chose a gorgeous turquoise gown by Cult Gaia for the closing event back in September.

As well as evening events, the mother-of-two has also made sure that she looks chic when attending daytime events too.

Meghan bared her shoulders in favour of a Toteme sleeveless turtleneck dress during a day event for the 2023 Invictus Games.

Whilst attending a World Mental Health event in New York City in October, Meghan stunned in a spectacular cream-coloured blazer by Altuzarra. To complete the chic look, Meghan wore matching wide-legged white trousers and slingback heel.

Meghan also keeps it classy when choosing her off-duty looks, evident in an outfit she wore for a trip to the local farmer’s market.

Meghan opted for a white, unbuttoned collared shirt over a camel-coloured maxi dress as she walked from stall-to-stall. Being followed around by a security guard, she donned black flip flops and sunglasses to accessorise.

Paying homage to her former Hollywood days, Meghan made her red carpet return at the Variety Power of Women Awards earlier this year.

She dazzled on the red carpet in a one-shoulder tan-coloured Proenza Schouler dress – one which the designer later stated they had altered for the Duchess.

Taking to Instagram, the designer said that the dres had been altered to show-off Meghan’s apparent favourite feature.
