Tesco shoppers fuming as man empties shelves to make £1k profit

A young man with a serious side hustle has been accused of being a “b******” for clearing Tesco shelves to make extra cash.

TikToker Sam is on a journey to be a millionaire – but it’s not been without harsh criticism from those who don’t agree with his methods.

In his latest video Sam – who described himself as a “young entrepreneur” – ventures into Tesco to stock up on discounted lunch boxes and water bottles to re-sell on Amazon for a hefty profit.

In the clip he fills his basket with 88p plastic Sistema containers saying that he’d sell them for £7. Sam says that with the amount he buys he’s in line for a £1,00 profit margin.

The wheeler dealer managed to snap up 340 total units. It cost £16 to ship all the units using Amazon FBA, where Amazon takes care of storing, packing and shipping of the products you sell.

He said: “I’m gonna get a trolley and take the lot” says Sam.

He added: “For all the Karens, we’re going to leave quite a few on the shelf for other customers.”

“You’ve got to wait a month for it to all sell”, he admitted.

But not everyone is loving the way Sam is going about his mission to make a million quid.

In the comments someone asked: “Genuine question; what about the people who can’t afford the Amazon price and rely on discounted goods to support their family?”

“You contribute absolutely nothing to society apart from ripping people off,” said another.

Another said: “Did they not question you on how many you were buying?”

Others asked why anyone would buy the item given it could be bought at such a cheaper price in Tesco. Another referred to him as a “b******” for clearing supermarket shelves for profit.

But others reckon Sam should just crack on and ignore the haters.

One said: “Respect to you.”

“Good for you,” said another fan of Sam’s work while another simply commented: “Well done lad.”
