A boy riding an electric bike has died after it smashed into an ambulance following a police chase in Salford. Pictures show a major emergency service presence in Langworthy Road on Thursday.
Greater Manchester Police said officers followed the teenager as he rode along Fitzwarren Street onto Lower Seedley Road.
The force said bollards had stopped the police vehicle from continuing to follow him.
According to police, moments later there was a collision between the cyclist and ambulance.
The force has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct over the incident.
