Littler’s main focus though will be to return later this week and continue to take the tournament by storm. He is determined to go as far as he can, insisting he has “nothing to lose”.
He said: “Everyone on social media says, ‘He’s this age, he’s 16’ – but I let my darts do the talking. What did I do over Christmas? It was Xbox, Xbox, Xbox all the way… although I watched the highlights from my first two rounds every day.
“When Matt pinged in the 120 to make it 3-1, I was thinking that I needed to get off the stage to relax myself. I was just thinking I needed three more legs.
“But I’m just so happy to get over the line again. I’ve over-achieved again, so I’ve got nothing to lose now.”
