Teacher beaten by 270lb teen student after she confiscated his phone


The teenager will be sentenced in January and in an emotional please to the judge, Naydich begged for her attacker to be given the full 30 years behind bars.

Among the injuries suffered by Naydich included five broken ribs, concussion and a loss of hearing.

The pictures shared also display cuts on her cheek and bruising around the eye.

She also had one bloodshot eye, a tear in her ear and a dent in her nose.

Speaking to Fox Orlando, the teacher said: “Unfortunately, a lot of my injuries that are not visible I’m going to have for the rest of my life.”

After the incident, she was put on unpaid leave shortly after she returned to work back in August.

Since then, she has had to rely on charity from her community.

She said: “I was attacked on February 21st and I feel like I’m just constantly being attacked.”

Naydich noted that a lack of support from the Flagler County school district had left her frustrated, and went on to reveal that Depa was originally angry with a different member of staff.

The teacher continued: “Everybody that knows me or knew me [before the attack], knows that I’m a totally different person now.

“My whole life was just turned upside down.”

She concluded: “I want to make sure he is not able to walk the streets freely. I have no idea what closure looks like right now. I just want to be whole again.”
