Retired teacher Ian Parsons claimed he had “joked with some shelf stackers” about stocking Morrisons with eggs before Christmas.
He said they “laughed and said that the first five boxes were already in the warehouse”.
Easter 2023 is still several months away, with the occasion due on April 9 next year.
While controversial, the move to roll out stocks this early is not unusual, as shops follow the same pattern each year.
