Mr Sunak has used a quote from former Prime Minister Tony Blair to ridicule Sir Keir Starmer.
Speaking at PMQs, he said: “With regard to the local elections, maybe I can just offer the honorable gentleman some advice from one of his predecessors, Tony Blair, who I was reading the other day.
“What did Tony blair say? He said: ‘The right honorable gentleman can be as cocky as he likes about the local elections, come a general election, policy counts’.
“And we know Mr Speaker the problem for him is he doesn’t have any!”
