Sudan evacuation plane shot at as civilians race to escape war-torn country


An evacuation plane from Turkey was shot as it landed in Khartoum, the capital of war-torn Sudan, despite a supposed ceasefire.

Paramilitary forces injured a crew member and damaged the fuel supply.

The Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) fired at the aircraft landing on the Wadi Saeedna airbase.

Despite the attack the plane did manage to land successfully and is being repaired, according to Sudan’s army.
