Six Nations LIVE: England star calls out own team-mates as Ireland eye double Grand Slam

It is a huge day in the world of the Six Nations, as bitter rivals England and Ireland prepare to lock horns on the big stage.

Steve Borthwick’s men welcome their emerald green foe to Twickenham, for which major spoils and bragging rights are on the line.

A bonus points victory for Ireland would see them both retain their Six Nations title and also set up the chance to seal successive Six Nations grand slams for the first time ever.

After they began with two victories, the Red Rose will be desperate to stop another campaign grinding to a halt. Ireland however are overwhelming favourites, and face an England side still picking themselves up after a hammering by Scotland.

In the aftermath of the Scotland defeat, England chief Borthwick was widely criticised by pundits for being too reliant on data after their attack again failed to fire on the big stage.

In today’s other fixture, Italy get the day’s rugby under way when they host Scotland in the early kick-off.
