Six Nations LIVE: England have extra reason to beat Scotland as Ireland begin mind games

England’s players will be looking to make Jamie George’s late mother proud by securing a long-overdue win over Scotland tomorrow.

George is set to captain the side at Murrayfield despite losing his mother, Jane, to cancer last Wednesday.

Opening up on her death, he explained that she would not have wanted him to sit out of the match and vowed to keep making her proud.

“My mum was the biggest rugby fan on earth, she loved this team, loved watching me play, she never missed a game,” said George.

“Taking time off is the last thing she would have wanted me to do. She will be with me in some capacity on Saturday and that means a huge amount to me.”
