Sick doctor raped girl 'hundreds of times' before giving pregnant mum lethal injection

A wicked paedophile doctor, Michael McGrane, 62, who raped a young girl “hundreds of times” in Liverpool before moving to Australia and murdering a pregnant woman, is back behind bars.

He was found guilty of rape, buggery and indecent assault last month, as reported by the ECHO.

At Liverpool Crown Court, prosecutor Frances Wilmott revealed: “The victim recalled him stripping her down and touching her sexually until she became accustomed to it.

She was so young when the abuse started that it was as if it had always happened.”

McGrane, from Victoria Street in Southport, began by sexually assaulting the girl before moving on to raping her “on a regular basis”.

The girl tried to tell a school teacher what was happening, but was “put in a darkened room” and “told to keep her mouth shut”.

Now an adult, the victim said: “This man has taken my childhood and stolen my innocence.

“Instead of being a determined, strong-minded child, I was a frightened silent guilt-ridden child. As a young woman, I could not award an ounce of trust to any human being.”

She added: “After seeing McGrane continue his sexual abuse of women, after seeing him imprisoned in Australia, and seeing after 13 years in jail he still could not control his urges, it made me realize I had to speak out.

“I couldn’t let this man walk free in the city, knowing what he was capable of. It was my responsibility to stop this abuse from happening. No child should be stripped of their innocence.”

After moving from Liverpool to Brisbane, Australia, McGrane drugged and molested a number of his female patients.

One patient, who was seven months pregnant, reported him to the Australian Health Rights Commission. Two months later, she was found dead after McGrane gave her a lethal dose of Morphine.

McGrane was jailed for life four years after the murder in 2001 but, shockingly, he was released after just 10 years and deported back to the UK. He’s now back behind bars.
