Sheffield Wednesday fan pleads guilty to sick Bradley Lowery taunt as act 'deplorable'

She admitted that she found it “hard to put into words” but the actions were not “just disrespectful to Bradley, but also to other people as well”, and that they could cause “so much emotional trauma to other children with cancer”.

She also added: “I feel upset that these men have used this image of Bradley in order to get a reaction from the Sunderland fans.”

Following the incident, Sheffield Wednesday supporters and fellow football fans have raised more than £16,000 for The Bradley Lowery Foundation, a charity created after his passing.

Houghton was bailed on the condition he would not attend any registered football matches or travel to within a mile of Hillsborough Stadium when Sheffield Wednesday play at home.
