She couldn't keep her eyes off him! Kate and William's 'loved up' display on Garter Day

Kate, Princess of Wales, looked “loved up” as she gazed at Prince William during the Order of the Garter, a royal commentator has said.

The 41-year-old supported her husband at the ceremony and procession held at Windsor Castle on Monday.

Kate was spotted grinning from ear to ear at William, who was making his debut as the Prince of Wales, while walking alongside his uncle Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh.

In another first, William, who donned the robes of a Kight of the Order of the Garter, and Kate rode in their own carriage after the procession to St Geoge’s Chapel.

Fans quickly took to Twitter to point out why the moment Kate and William shared demonstrated their enduring love.

Pod Save the King host Ann Gripper, speaking on the episode released on Thursday, noted: “People were very much enjoying Kate’s eyes for William as he is walking down, strolling along.”

She added that the Princess of Wales, dressed in a black and white polka dot dress, was “looking quite loved up”, gazing “lovingly, towards him”.

Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers, who also appeared on the podcast, said the picture of Kate “beaming” at William was “lovely”, as she watched him walk in his robes.

Fans also took to Twitter to praise the couple and “their love” for one another. One fan noted that the Waleses had by chance recreated a picture from the 2014 Order of the Garter this year.

A fan wrote on Twitter that “History was repeating itself”, adding that William and Kate’s “love is everything”.

Another said that the pictures showed how their love had not faltered over time. They wrote: “Their love just got stronger and her smile [got] bigger for him with time… That lovely smile is still there.”

Kate first attended the Order of the Garter, which is described on the Royal Family’s official website as “the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain”, in 2008, three years before she and William tied the knot at Westminster Abbey.

This year, King Charles led his first procession along with William and Queen Camilla. The King was also accompanied by his sister the Princess Royal the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.
