'Shambolic' Willy Wonka Experience organisers say 'sorry' as 850 refunded

The team behind the failed Willy Wonka event that turned into a huge letdown have said “sorry” to families.

Mums and dads paid £35 a ticket, hoping their kids would have fun in the magical world from Roald Dahl’s famous book. But what they found was a near-empty building and cheap-looking props.

Kids got just one jelly bean and a little bit of lemonade while Oompa Loompas walked around. Now, videos and photos of the Glasgow show are all over the internet, on TV in Australia and American chat shows.

The company that made this flop happen, House of Illuminati, has told everyone on Facebook they’ll give the money back for the 850 tickets sold for the event, reports Glasgow Live.

A spokesperson said: “I am reaching out to address the recent cancellation of the “Willys Chocolate Experience” event. Firstly, I want to extend my sincerest apologies to each and every one of you who was looking forward to this event.
