Sarah Ferguson joins royals for Christmas Day church service for first time in 30 years

Sarah Ferguson has made a surprise appearance at the traditional festive church service on the King’s Sandringham estate this morning.

She joined her ex-husband Prince Andrew and other members of the Royal Family as they made the short walk from Sandringham house to St Mary Magdalene Church for a Christmas morning service.

It’s the first time Fergie has joined the royals in over 30 years, as following the couple’s high profile divorce in 1996, Sarah was blocked from joining the Firm on Christmas.

But King Charles softened that approach last year and invited her to join the family at Sandringham for the first time in decades, though she didn’t join them for church.
