Russia 'winning the war' in Ukraine as Kyiv threatened by North Korea and Iran's weapons

The outlet also warns that Ukraine and its allies must prepare for the “dire possibility” of Donald Trump returning to the White House in 2024, potentially resulting in decreased support for Kyiv.

While some in the West are concerned about Russia’s capability of winning the war, Moscow’s forces have continued to take heavy losses.

The head of NATO said on Wednesday, Jens Stoltenberg, warned on Wednesday that Russia has a “high tolerance for casualties” after losing a substantial amount of aircraft, tanks, and troops.

He said Russia’s military “has lost a substantial part of its conventional forces. Hundreds of aircraft. Thousands of tanks. And more than 300,000 casualties.”

Mr Stoltenberg continued: “As Ukraine has moved forward, Russia has fallen backward. It is now weaker politically, militarily, and economically.”

Ukraine received promising reassurances from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken this week as he said “we must and will continue to support Ukraine.”

He said: “Some are questioning whether the United States and other NATO allies in truth continue to stand with Ukraine as we enter the second winter of (Russian President Vladimir) Putin’s brutality.

“But the answer here today at NATO is clear and it’s unwavering. We must and we will continue to support Ukraine.”

Ukraine’s foreign minister said Wednesday that it won’t “back down” in its fight against Russia.

Dmytro Kuleba said: “We have to continue, we have to keep fighting. Ukraine is not going to back down.

“Our strategic goal, which is territorial integrity within internationally recognised borders as of 1991, remains unchanged.

“The issue here is not just Ukraine’s security it is the security and safety of the entire Euro-Atlantic space.”
