Russia warns 'accidental' nuclear war possible as Joe Biden's mental health in doubt

Russia has raised the alarm about an “accidental” nuclear war breaking out as concerns about Joe Biden’s mental health continue to grapple the White House.

A report by Special Counsel Robert Hur last week described the US president as an “elderly man with a poor memory” – reporting Biden had struggled to remember key events of his vice presidency and personal life during an interview.

The President quickly dismissed the tone of Hur’s report, insisting his memory is “fine” but his detractors, as well as members of his own party, have expressed concerns about his desire to secure a second term.

Mikhail Popov, the deputy secretary of Russia’s Security Council, told the Russian newspaper Izvestia that Moscow shares in the concerns.

Popov claimed that “the deterioration of Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities,” as well as the health issues of Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, are two factors contributing to the increasing risk of nuclear war.
