According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kherson is being bombarded by the Russian military using heavy weapons, as the residents are being evacuated due to the flooding risk after a nearby dam was blown up. Two law enforcement officers have sustained injuries from fragments, as reported by Ukraine’s national television channel, Suspilne.
The Ministry tweeted: “While we are trying to save, the Russians continue to shell Kherson.
“Two policemen from Kherson were wounded by shrapnel during evacuation measures in the city.
“An evacuation has been announced, people are being taken out. And the Russians cover with artillery.
“Russia is a terrorist country.”
