Royal Family LIVE: 'Wounded' King Charles has 'ultimatum' for Harry if family to reunite

King Charles appears to be open to holding talks with his son Prince Harry to speak about their troubled relationship, one person described as an insider suggested.

But the monarch, the insider claimed, “draws the line at public slanging matches”, suggesting the King is presenting his second son with an ultimatum.

The insider claimed the monarch would hold a meeting to hash out the issues and differences between the Sussexes and the rest of the Firm, with the caveat that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stop discussing in public their personal issues with the Firm and the Royal Family business.

The insider claimed to Bella magazine, as reported by the Mirror: “The King loves his son very much but he has been mortally wounded by what he has done. He will always be there for him but draws the line at public slanging matches.

“If the talks take place, the King will make it very clear that there will be absolutely no private family business discussed in public moving forward. Staff are trying to fine-tune the details.”

Prince Harry stopped in the UK for less than 24 hours last week, as he attended on September 7 the yearly WellChild Awards, an event particularly close to his heart.

During his briefly stay in England, he isn’t believed to have met any member of his family, and King Charles was known to be in Scotland where, the following day, he marked the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

The Duke of Sussex is now in Germany, where he is attending this year’s edition of the Invictus Games.
