Royal Family LIVE: Sussexes may feel 'regret' over Charles's choice of Coronation roles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may come to “regret their decision” to relocate to the United States, a royal watcher has suggested, pointing out even the children of Queen Camilla’s friends have been handed “prominent roles” at King Charles III’s coronation.

Despite receiving an invitation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who now live in California, have yet to confirm whether or not they will attend the lavish ceremony, scheduled for May 6.

Nevertheless, preparations are already well underway for what the most important day of Charles’s reign since he acceded to the throne following the death of mother Queen Elizabeth II in September.

Richard Eden, The Daily Mail’s Diary Editor, suggested Harry and Meghan were likely keeping tabs on the growing guest list.

He tweeted: “I wonder if #PrinceHarry and #Meghan, as they read the news that three of Camilla’s grandchildren, and even children of friends such as David and Rose Cholmondeley, have prominent roles at #KingCharles’s historic #Coronation, will regret their decision to quit the #Royal Family?”
