Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan's 'gag order request' to stop 'future comments'

Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, once reportedly had their hosts sign a “gagging clause” ahead of an event in New York.

The royals visited Public School 123, one of the city’s poorest schools, in 2021 as they filmed for their then-upcoming Netflix series, and had attendees sign a clause prohibiting them from making negative comments, The Sun has reported.

The “appearance release” had signatories agree to not voice their comments “now or in the future”.

The publication discovered the request under freedom of information rules, which delivered correspondence from Danielle Filson, the NYC schools press secretary, who asked for the best way to have the clause agreed.

Archewell has said the request followed “standard practice”, and it is unclear as to whether it was ultimately signed by the school.
