Kate, the Princess of Wales, is on the “fast track to Queendom”, a royal commentator has said, after she dazzled at the Eurovision Song Contest this year. The Princess, 41, delighted royal fans with her appearance at the contest last weekend as she looked regal while playing the piano from the Crimson Drawing Room of Windsor Castle. The cameo, while brief and wordless, has prompted a fresh wave of admiration for the future monarch. Commentators have outlined how the appearance has shown she is “on the fast track to Queendom”.
Writing in a column for news.com.au, royal commentator Daniela Elser said the princess leaned “Sheryl Sandberg-esque” into “princess-ing with gusto”.
Ms Elser commented on the organisation of her appearance, appearing bowled over by her hair, which cascaded down her left shoulder in curls, and sheer one-shoulder gown.
She added that the “whole thing” seemed “like a Hollywood set designer had been given the brief ‘princess’ and carte blanche in terms of budget”.
The commentator said that, overall, she “not only looked the business”, but also “like it was always her destiny to end up on the fast track to Queendom”.
