Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been accused of a “desperate attempt to distract from bad press”, after an article appeared in LA publication Deadline claiming that the Duchess of Sussex’s talent agency is struggling to find opportunities for her because big brands “don’t want to be associated” with the former royal duo.
It’s claimed that brands don’t wish to jeopardise their relationship with the Royal Family. Leading royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said during her ‘LA Diaries’ on TalkTV, that the claim the Montecito couple were on the verge of a “comeback” after appearing on the cover of US weekly – was untrue.
The couple have had a tumultuous year, with big brand partners Spotify dropping Meghan’s podcast deal after only 12 episodes, while their charity, the Archewell Foundation, has seen donations dry up significantly.
