Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly said to be facing divisions in their household due to Harry’s desire to return to the UK and purchase a house.
While the Duke may be feeling homesick, Meghan is “less than keen” to come back to Britain, nearly four years after the couple quit the Royal Family to start their new life in the US.
According to reports Harry is very much “leading” on the idea of having a UK base, and would not live on the Kensington Estate but instead would buy a house of their own.
A source revealed: “They will soon start looking for a property of their own near London and Harry is very much leading this. They won’t be asking the King for a property on the royal estate due to the issues that arose with Frogmore Cottage.
“Making use of a small apartment in Kensington Palace from time to time isn’t out of the question, but when it comes to a home in the UK, they will purchase that themselves.”

The Sussexes were given Frogmore Cottage to use as their home following their marriage, however they were evicted from the property earlier this year following the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare.
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe added that while a home in the UK could give Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet a chance to bond with their royal cousins, the Duchess has “not given any hints she would want to move back”.
He said: “Harry’s got more reason to come back to the UK than Meghan, so I think we would see these trips, especially if he’s involved with things like the Invictus Games, where most of the people who work for that are in London.”
