In 2021, Kensington Palace shared a Mother’s Day card the young princess penned for her late grandmother, who she addressed as “granny Diana”.
It read: “Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother’s Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte xxxxxxxxx.”
That year, Prince George also wrote a message to the late Princess of Wales, reading: “Dear granny Diana, Happy happy Mother’s Day. I love you very much and think of you always, sending lots of love from George xxxxx.”
