Royal Family LIVE: King 'incapable of uniting his clan' as Harry and William feud deepens

King Charles III is “incapable of uniting his own clan”, suggests author Omid Scobie.

The author, who also co-wrote Finding Freedom in 2020, has claimed in an interview with French magazine Paris Match, that while he is doing a “good job” as monarch, he is failing to reunite his family amid ongoing tensions with Prince Harry.

Asked in the interview if his view of Charles as monarch is “far from positive”, Mr Scobie told the publication: “It’s mixed, yes. On one hand, Charles is doing a good job. Particularly on the international stage, whre he is appreciated. But we can’t forget that a few months before becoming King, he was caught up in scandals about the funding of his foundation. Charles is also incapable of uniting his own clan.”

While deeming Charles a “human being, with his faults…”, Mr Scobie did praise the late Queen as being one “close to perfection”. Meanwhile Prince Harry has been at loggerheads with the Royal Family for some time now, with tensions have reached peak in the last few months.

While Harry is meant to have had a “polite” telephone conversation with the King last week, in honour of his 75th birthday, Harry is still not on good terms with Prince William.
