Royal Family LIVE: Harry tipped to derail King's bid for truce with ‘more fireworks ahead'

Prince Harry’s plan to return to London’s High Court in the summer to give evidence in his phone hacking court case has scuppered and hopes King Charles III may have that things will settle down after his coronation next month, an expert has claimed.

The Sussexes are yet to confirm whether or not they will attend the event, fixed for May 6 at Westminster Cathedral, despite being invited to do so – but US-based royal commentator Hilary Fordwich said regardless of their decision, the Sussexes would continue to make waves.

Harry, whose explosive memoir published on January 10, levelled several accusations against British royals included claims of “unconscious bias” towards his wife, attended the High Court for the start of the case last week and his representative Julian Santos yesterday confirmed he would be back in June.

Ms Fordwich told Express.co.uk: “Time is on the side of both King Charles III and Prince William because the wheels of the institution of monarchy will continue to turn. But not so for one with no real role.

“Therefore, we can, with quite a degree of certainty, envisage more fireworks ahead as while uneasy lies the head that wears a crown, the lack of a crown and no real role are even more unsettling for the spare.”
