Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been told to start producing some “good ideas” for Netflix if they want the deal to continue, reports have claimed. Since signing the deal, worth around £73million, three years ago, the Sussexes have produced just one six-part docuseries.
But a source claimed the couple have only received around half of the money agreed upon, with the remaining £40million to be handed over when the couple starts producing more content for the streaming giant.
Last month it was revealed that the couple would take on a more behind-the-scenes role and stop making tell-all documentaries.
The source told The Sun: “There’s no question of a headline-grabbing, public parting of the way.
“Netflix was pleased to sign Harry and Meghan and is looking for some great ideas going forward.
“But the remainder of the deal relies on them producing those good ideas. The deal’s continually under review which is normal for ones of this magnitude.”
