Royal Family LIVE: Harry and Meghan 'left out of Royal gathering' to mark Queen's death

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have reportedly been snubbed by the Royal Family as it prepares to mark a year since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Harry and Meghan have reportedly not been invited even though the couple will be in Germany a day later to open the Invictus Games, according to The Sun.

Insiders told the paper that there has been no “outreach” from senior royals to the Sussexes with King Charles and Queen Camilla set to mark the anniversary surrounded by family at Balmoral on September 8.

Insiders told The Sun that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been invited to any public or private commemorations.

A source said: “There hasn’t been any outreach to them.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are reportedly going to join the King and Queen at Balmoral, but not Harry and Meghan.

A source told The Sun of the commemorations snub: “If they are not included in any of those plans they will find a way to mark the significance in their own way.”

The Sussexes’ relationship with senior members of the Royal Family have been under strain for months following the release of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare and the couple’s Netflix series.

Revelations about William attacking Harry in a row, Meghan performing an over the top curtsy and details about Charles’s sons opposing his marriage to Camilla came on top of the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah Winfrey in which claims of racism from an unnamed royal were made.
