Royal Family LIVE: Harry and Meghan 'demanding names' after being snubbed for an Emmy

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly looking for answers after they were snubbed for an Emmy nomination for their six-part series Harry & Meghan.

According to a source the Sussexes are “demanding names” of those they believe orchestrated a campaign to stop them getting nominated, even though their series broke Netflix’s record for a documentary debut.

Over 81.6 million hours of the show were watched within its first four days of being available on Netflix in December 2022, with its average viewership in its first week beating that of The Crown.

Despite many claiming Harry & Meghan was likely to be nominated for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series it was not recognised at all by the Emmys.

A source told Heat Magazine: “The fact they didn’t get an Emmy nod is a huge kick in the teeth. They’re convinced there’s been an orchestrated hate campaign against them on both sides of the Atlantic, and that certain people are trying to get in on the act.”

The source added that the couple reportedly want to find out who “put the boot in and what on earth they’ve got to do to catch a break”.

The series, which documents Meghan and Harry’s love story as well as their experiences as members of the Royal Family, caused controversy for its insight into the inner workings of the Firm.

Critics chastised Harry for publicly slamming his family, with whom he is now estranged from, as he doubled down further on his attacks with the release of his memoir Spare in January this year.

The couple’s next documentary project with Netflix, Heart of Invictus, is expected to drop sometime later this summer.
