Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry “are getting a bit of a kicking” from “showbusiness types”, a royal expert has claimed. Daily Express royal reporter Richard Palmer made the claim after a talent expert who has worked with Damian Lewis and Benedict Cumberbatch said Meghan was not a “great audio talent” or “necessarily any kind of talent”.
Mr Palmer, sharing a story about Meghan and Harry falling out of favour with Hollywood, tweeted: “Perhaps they will make a comeback yet but the Sussexes are getting a bit of a kicking from showbiz types at the moment.”
His verdict comes after the end of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s multi-million-pound Spotify deal which they struck just a few months after their royal exit in 2020.
Jeremy Zimmer, Chief Executive at United Talent Agency, told the news website Semafor: “Turns out Meghan was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent.”
He added: “And, you know, just because you’re famous, doesn’t make you great at something.”
Despite hosting a number of famous guests, it has been reported some celebrities, including pop star Taylor Swift, turned down Meghan’s offer to appear on her Spotify series Archetypes.
