Princess Eugenie’s relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may serve to help King Charles retain a line of communication with the estranged royal couple.
The Princess of York and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, enjoys a tight bond with the Sussexes, which one royal commentator believes may be to the benefit to the monarch.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GBNews.com that Eugenie’s relationship with the Montecito-based duo may enable frosty relations to thaw, adding: “Princess Eugenie knows what she is doing.
“The fact she is close to the Sussexes could be an advantage. You need a foot in both camps. One day they will hope for a peaceful resolution so that could be very useful.”
The monarch and Queen Camilla are currently on a royal tour of Kenya, which ends today. It is their first visit to a Commonwealth nation since their accession to the throne last year.
