Rose Hanbury channelled Kate in £773.84 dress at Coronation that was 'very rare'

Rose Hanbury, 39, stepped out at King Charles’s Coronation wearing a beautiful black and cream dress designed by Ozzie Clark for Quorum, which dates back to 1970. The black and white dress looked remarkably similar to the black and white Jenny Packham gown worn the day before by Kate Middleton.

Rose had clearly purchased the dress from the website 1st Dibs which sells vintage designer clothing.

On the website, it shows that the dress was sold at an asking price of £773.84.

The dress is described as a “very rare 1970 Ossie Clark for Quorum moss crepe wrap dress”.

The dress’s definition says: “Very rare cream and black moss crepe dress designed by Ossie Clark for Quorum dating to 1970.

“Ossie Clark’s wife at the time, textile designer Celia Birtwell, was painted in this dress in another colourway by David Hockney.

“This portrait was a wedding gift to Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell from best-man David Hockney.”

Raymond “Ossie” Clark, who died in 1996, was a British fashion designer who was a major figure in the Swinging Sixties scene in London.

He was also a huge figure in the fashion industry during that era. Ossie Clark is now renowned for his vintage designs by present-day designers.

“For me, the Bow Tie Pump, with its sleek and sexy design and the playful touch of the bow on the back, is just that.”

These exact shoes were also worn by the Princess of Wales the day before on a royal walkabout.

Not only Kate, but another member of the Royal Family has also worn these Aquazzura heels.

On July 26, 2018, Meghan Markle first stepped out wearing these shoes at the late Queen’s Young Leaders Awards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The following month, Meghan once again wore the heels to attend a reception at Glencairn, the residence of Robin Barnett, the British Ambassador to Ireland.

In August 2018, the Duchess of Sussex wore the Aquazzura pumps at the wedding of Charlie Van Straubenzee.

Along with a gorgeous bespoke Givenchy black dress, Meghan wore these Aquazzura pumps on her first solo engagement in September 2018 to open “Oceania” at the Royal Academy of Arts.

The last time Meghan was seen wearing these Aquazzura pumps was when she was still a working royal in 2019 at the Festival of Remembrance.
