Ron DeSantis cheered as he mocks Bud Light in wake of Dylan Mulvaney controversy

Presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis served drinks to veterans in Nevada but joked that he would not serve ‘woke’ beer Bud Light.

The beer is being boycotted by Republicans after the company celebrated transgender social media personality Dylan Mulvaney’s one-year anniversary of ‘being a girl’.

DeSantis got behind the bar at a VFW post in Sparks, Nevada, before heading to Reno Rodeo.

He was joined by former roommate and one-time Nevada’s Attorney General Adam Laxalt at the Veterans of Foreign War Post 9211.

“I’ll serve you anything except Bud Light. I just can’t do that,” DeSantis said to widespread laughter from patrons.

Video released by the campaign shows DeSantis playing bartender serving beers to veterans and taking their payment to the cash register.

“Does anybody want a draught on the house?” DeSantis asked before giving a beer over to a veteran for free.

An hour later, the Florida governor, his wife Casey DeSantis and their three children Madison, 6, Mason, 5, and Mamie, 3, were hosted by one of the sponsors of the Reno Rodeo, reported the Daily Mail.

The campaign stops at the VFW and rodeo came the day before the Florida governor headlines the eighth Annual Morning in Nevada PAC’s Basque Fry in Gardnerville,.

Adam Laxalt, a longtime Donald Trump ally who is supporting DeSantis in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, joined DeSantis for the Rodeo.

He is also hosting him at the Basque Fry he started eight years ago, with other attendees including Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo, pro-Second Amendment media personality Dana Loesch and Steve Cortes, the national spokesperson of the biggest PAC backing DeSantis’ presidential run, Never Back Down.

Laxalt and DeSantis roomed together while in naval officer training, and they have remained close friends through the years.

Laxalt chaired Trump’s 2020 campaign in Nevada, but is now backing DeSantis.

The 10-day Reno Rodeo is an annual event in western Nevada. Past rodeo president Scott Patterson confirmed that DeSantis is the first presidential candidate to visit the Reno Rodeo.
